  2. WAYCOOL2.EXE is not shareware or freeware.  By purchasing
  3. this CDROM, you have been granted a license to use the
  4. program with this disk only.  This software is provided
  5. on an "AS-IS" basis.  Quantum Axcess will not make any

  7. operation or the results it produces or fails to produce.

  14. I.Installation Problems.
  15.   (all references to C: refer to the drive where windows
  16.    is installed.  D: refers to your CDROM drive)

  19.   1) In the unlikely event that the setup routine fails, manual installation can
  20.      be done by the following instructions:  [Remember, this is ONLY as a last
  21.      resort and should not be done until ALL other options have failed.]

  24.     1.  EXIT WINDOWS
  25.  
  26.     2.  At the dos prompt ( C:\> ) type:
  27.  
  28.         C:\> CD \
  29.         C:\> MD \WAYCOOL2
  30.         C:\> COPY D:\WAYCOOL2\*.* C:\WAYCOOL2
  31.         C:\> COPY D:\WAYCOOL2\SYSTEM\*.* C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  32.         C:\> COPY D:\WAYCOOL2\WAYCOOL2.INI C:\WINDOWS
  33.         C:\> COPY D:\WAYCOOL2\WAYCOOL2.HLP C:\WINDOWS
  34.  
  35.     3. If your CDROM drive is not "D:" then edit the waycool2.ini and change
  36.            the line "GamesPath=D:\GAMES" replacing D: with your drive
  37.            i.e. "GamesPath=E:\GAMES"
  38.  
  39.         C:\> EDIT C:\WINDOWS\WAYCOOL2.INI
  40.  
  41.     4.  Restart Windows and create a WayCool Too! group and icon in Progam Manager by
  42.             following the instructions below:
  43.  
  44.         1. From the Program Manager menu, select File then New
  45.         2. Select Program Group option and click Ok.
  46.         3. In the Group Name type: WayCool Too! Games for Windows
  47.         4. Click Ok to create the group.
  48.                 5. From the Program Manager menu, select File then New
  49.         6. Select Program Item option and click Ok.
  50.                 7. In Description, type: WayCool  Too!
  51.         8. In Command Line, type: C:\WayCool2\WayCool2.exe
  52.         9. In Working Directory, type: C:\WayCool2
  53.         10. Click OK to create the Icon.

  56.    2) DISK SPACE - WayCool Too! takes up less than 2 megabytes of harddisk when 
  57.       installed on your computer. Actually system files required to run the
  58.       games take most of that and you may already have alot of these files
  59.       so it can take as little as 600K.  During installation, Setup.exe copies 
  60.       about 500K of files to a temporary directory.  These files are required
  61.       to install WayCool Too! but are deleted after the setup is finished.  If you
  62.       do not have the system files it can require 2.5 megabytes to install.
  63.       If you get the message that you do not have enough free space to install
  64.       Waycool Too!, move some files to a floppy or decrease the size of your swap file
  65.       until you have completed the installation then you put them back.

  69. II. WayCool Too! colors and grahics
  70.  
  71.    1) There is a known problem with the 8514 video drivers and large font
  72.       option on ATI mach8 drivers.  Operation is not affected but the 3D
  73.       look of certain windows is impacted.  Also the About screen
  74.       background bitmap is smaller than it should be.

  78. III. Memory
  79.  
  80.    1) Some games do not release their allocated memory after exiting the
  81.       game.  If you encounter a "not enough memory", "not enough
  82.       resources" error or a game does not appear to be running properly,
  83.       exit WAYCOOL Too!, restart Windows and try again.

  101. V. Recommendations and Notes.
  102.  
  103.    1) Video:  For best results use 256 colors or more.  Some games require
  104.               a minimum of 256 colors to run.
  105.  
  106.    2) Sound:  We recommend using an MPC(tm) compatible sound board.
  107.           Windows PC speaker driver will work as well.
  108.           If you have neither, Click Options/Sound so that the check
  109.           is off.

  111.    3) Mode:   Should be in 386 Enhanced mode.

  113.    4) Memory: 4 MB of memory is recommend.  Please note section III.
